Recreational Gymnastics

Whether you have had a little exposure or none at all, boy or girl, you are all welcome to train in the safe, supervised and fun environment that the Hub Gymnastics Club offers.  The age of participants ranges from 4.5-14 years, and provides the basics of gymnastics suitable for school aged children in a non-competitive atmosphere.

Gymnastics improves strength, balance, posture, concentration and stamina, all while having fun. Gymnastics is widely recognised as a key building block for all sports.

All sessions consist of a warm-up, skills training and a cool down period.

Recreational Gymnastics comprises of learning skills on bars, beam, floor (cartwheels, handstands and strength work ) and vault (mini- tramp and spring board). Athletes may have the opportunity to participate in several GFA competitions throughout the year for ages 8 years and above or by selection.

GFA is perfect for athletes who are looking for a little more challenge than our standard recreation classes. Whether they have aspirations to move into a competitive squad one day, or simply want to push themselves further and develop new skills in a supportive environment — this program bridges that gap beautifully.

Athletes in GFA also have the opportunity to participate in several GFA competitions throughout the year, giving them a chance to perform and challenge themselves without the full commitment of traditional competitive squads.

MiniAero A fun and exciting session designed to develop basic skills such as balance and coordination, as well as the energetic dance aspects of Aerobic Gymnastics. This session does not include bars, beam and vault/mini tramp.

Children are taught in small groups by a qualified coach and groups are made up depending on ability, age and size.
